About Jen's Helping Hands
Jen Sturtevant Meus is a vibrant mother, wife, sister and
friend and is incredibly dedicated to the care of others as an occupational
therapist. She grew up on Cape Cod and has started new roots in Maryland. She
and her husband, Garry, welcomed the challenges and glorious rewards of
parenthood to twin boys born in March of this year. Then, in August, their
lives turned upside down when Jen learned that she had stage four breast
cancer. Jen, her family, and her friends are poised to fight back. Jen’s army
of helping hands remains strong and determined and sees a victorious remission
ahead.
What began as a groundswell in Jen’s hometown community, has exploded into an international movement of love, support and fierce determination. Jen and her husband have been touched by the words of strength and hope from all parts of their lives and from many whom they’ve never even met. Jen commented, “Garry and I are drawing on our community of loved ones like we never thought we would or could and our community has expanded due to all the support people are extending to us. It's not that you are just responding to our needs as we request them, you are all already there for us! We are amazed!” Jen is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support she has received online, and through the mail, as well as in person. Most importantly, please send your good thoughts, positive energy and prayers her way. Every bit helps.
